serv-u with (secure) LDAP over SSL

We are using server-u 15f1 on a rhel6 platform.   Our LDAP service is provided by sles-oes.

First off, does serv-u support secure LDAP?  typically on port 636.

I do not see an option to enable SSL or to enable secure LDAP other than specifying the port it should be connecting to.

I know that I can reach the LDAPS port on the LDAP server from the server where serv-u is installed, so it is not a network issue.

If serv-u does not support LDAPS, then it should, so that the authentication process does not happen over an unsecured channel.
